Some thoughts from nang.
AI is increasing the number of people with non-traditional jobs: entrepreneurs, creatives, and content creators. This is either voluntary, where AI empowers one to build things to free them from a traditional career, or involuntary, where AI has displaced one from their career, and they are forced to use their creative talents or ingenuity to fulfill their ambition.
From what I’ve seen, these people lack a physical space to work in and a strong community of other people they really want to be around. They need a space and community to work in and hang out, or a second space.
Ambitious people will make it far alone and prove themselves in the world independently, but hit a ceiling and need to work with others eventually in order to create something larger than themselves. I know this firsthand, by growing my YouTube channel to over 150k subscribers alone, but needing to work with others I admired to have PearAI chase its larger mission.
The best creators want to build businesses, and the best founders want to understand social media (this was 110% inspired by Coco Xu’s podcast).
Second Space is a social hub that addresses all of these 3 points. Eventually, it’d be cool to be a worldwide hub for ambitious people to be around those they admire. To start, I’m thinking it should be founders that have proven they know how to run a real businesses, and creators that have proven they know how to attract attention.
